Dr. Micah Matiang’i is the Dean School of Medical Sciences and also a senior lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences. He holds a PhD in Public Health from Jomo  Kenyatta University and Masters in Community Health and Development. He is an accomplished researcher in  the area of Maternal and child health  with  publications in peer reviewed journals.
