Dr Shadrack Opon is the Head of Department (HOD) of the Department of Health System Management at Amref International University. He holds a PhD in Health Systems Management and Master’s degree in Health Systems Management from Kenya Methodist University, and BSc in Health Services Management from Kenyatta University.

He is a highly trained health systems and health projects manager, with extended experience in managing healthcare projects for international organizations and development partners. He has five years of university teaching experience, and has published widely on healthcare reforms. His research areas of interest are Health systems strengthening, youth advocacy and policy briefs.
