Course Overview
This professional course is designed to equip providers of medical services with the knowledge and skills to diagnose and manage sexual health problems.
Goal of the Programme
The overall goal of the programme is to equip the learner with knowledge, skills, and competencies to be able to engage, examine, investigate, arrive at a diagnosis, design treatment, and form care teams to manage sexual health conditions.
Duration of the Programme
Three Semesters
Course Fee
Tuition fees of $1000 per semester for three semesters, total $3000. Students will bear the costs of the practicum.

Candidates eligible for admission to the fellowship programme shall be holders of:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery and specialization in urology, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, or endocrinology from an institution of higher learning recognized by Amref International University Senate
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery and demonstrated experience of more than 5 years in providing health services in relevant medical areas
OR
- A recognized qualification in clinical medicine with specialization in sexual and reproductive health and with 10 years or more of service delivery in relevant areas
OR
- A licensed nurse practitioner specialized in sexual and reproductive health and/or midwifery and with 10 years or more of experience in providing relevant health services
The fellows of this program will:
1. Have the right values and standing in the communities that enable them to manage sexual health problems professionally
2. Have an in-depth understanding of the development, anatomy, and functioning of a sexual system
3. Be skilled in identifying and classifying dysfunctions and pathologies of the sexual system and designing effective treatments for them
4. Be connected to related professions and able to constitute treatment teams that meet the treatment needs of patients with sexual dysfunctions
