Diploma in Environmental Technology - Level 6

Course Overview

This is a competency-based TVETA approved programme that is offered at Amref International Training Centre (The Amref International University-TVET Directorate). The programme is mainly concerned with aspects of human behaviour that are
directly related to man’s interaction with the bio-physical environment and his ability to understand this interaction. One of the most glaring problems that the world faces today is environmental pollution which has brought climate change. Man has exploited nature excessively at the cost of the environment. This programme aims to address these problems.

MODE OF DELIVERY & DURATION

Course Duration: 2 Academic Years – 6 Semesters (4 for classwork and 2 for Industrial attachment)
Intakes: January, May and September | Mode of Delivery: Full-time (On Campus) – (Monday-Friday; 8AM – 5PM)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entry Requirements
i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C-; OR

ii. Certificate in Environmental Science Level 5; OR

iii. Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA); OR

iv. Any other International qualifications to get approval from the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA).

CERTIFICATION

The certificates will be issued by the TVET CDACC.
