Entry Requirements
i. Registered nurse (BScN/ BN/ BSM/ KRN/ KRN/ M, KRCHN, KRN-Mental Health)

ii. Two years of clinical work experience.

iii. A valid nursing practice license.

iv. Foreign students will need their qualifications equated by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority and approval by
the Nursing Council of Kenya.

v. Nurses/ midwives trained outside Kenya and licensed by council must seek clearance from Nursing Council of Kenya
before progression.

Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:

1. Demonstrate advanced knowledge and clinical competencies in critical care nursing practices.​

2. Apply evidence-based approaches to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients.​

3. Utilize advanced technologies and interventions in the management of patients requiring intensive care.​

4. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.​

5. Exhibit leadership and decision-making skills in high-pressure critical care situations.​

6. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the delivery of critical care nursing services.​

7. Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in critical care nursing
