Entry Requirements

i. Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Midwifery

ii. Diploma in Nursing KRN, KRM or KRCHN or its equivalent from a recognised institution

iii. At least 2 years work experience post qualification

iv. Active registration by the Nursing Council of Kenya and possession of a valid practice license.

v. Nurses/ midwives trained outside Kenya and licensed by council must seek clearance from Nursing Council of Kenya
before progression.

Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:

1. Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered oncology and palliative care services across various healthcare settings.​

2. Apply advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for oncology patients.​

3. Utilize evidence-based practices to manage symptoms and improve the quality of life for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.​

4. Demonstrate effective communication and counseling skills to support patients and their families through the cancer care continuum.​

5. Lead and manage oncology and palliative care services, ensuring quality and efficiency in care delivery
